CONTROL CABLE · 450/750 V · GB/T 9330 · IEC 60227
KVV / KVVP Control Cable — the nervous system of the panel.
Multicore control and signalling cable for switchgear, automation panels and fixed industrial routes: KVV unscreened, KVVP with copper-braid screen, KVV22 with steel-tape armour. 2–61 cores, 0.75–10 mm².
§01 — Product family
Four constructions, one system voltage.
| Тип | Экран / броня | Use |
|---|---|---|
| KVV | None | Control circuits inside panels, trays and dry indoor routes |
| KVVP | Copper-braid screen | EMI-sensitive control and measurement loops near drives and power cables |
| KVVP2 | Copper-tape screen | Higher screening coverage for instrument-grade loops |
| KVV22 | Steel-tape armour | Direct burial and mechanically exposed control runs |

What is inside
Copper class 1 (or class 5 flexible) conductors → PVC insulation with numbered cores → optional copper braid or tape screen → PVC outer sheath. Flame-retardant (ZR-KVV) and LSZH (WDZC-KYJY) variants share the same core.
For LSZH control cable with published type test, see the WDZC-KYJY LSZH control cable page.

§03 — FAQ
Common questions on control cable.
When do we need KVVP instead of KVV?
Whenever the control loop runs parallel to power cables or near VFDs and soft starters: the copper-braid screen keeps induced noise out of measurement and interlocking signals. As a rule, analogue signals and safety interlocks get screened cable; simple 24 V DC switching in clean panels can stay unscreened.
Control cable vs power cable — what is the actual difference?
Voltage class and duty, not size. Control cable is 450/750 V with many small cores for signalling and interlocking; power cable is 0.6/1 kV and above with few large cores for energy transfer. Running control signals on power cable (or vice versa) fails both inspection and EMC practice.
Do you have an LSZH control cable with a test report?
Yes — WDZC-KYJY 450/750 V passed a complete third-party type test (report No. 202521001018, GB/T 9330-2020): smoke transmittance 80 %, bunched flame class C, halogen-free. The measured values are published on the LSZH control cable page.
Can cores be numbered and colour-coded to our wiring diagram?
Numbered black cores are standard. Colour-coded cores and printing of the buyer’s circuit references on the sheath are available for project orders — include the wiring schedule with the RFQ.
