BUILDING WIRE · 450/750 V · 60227 IEC SERIES · CCC CERTIFIED
BV / BVR Building Wire — CCC-certified, and we can prove it.
PVC-insulated copper building wire for fixed wiring in residential, commercial and panel installations. Our 60227 IEC range is covered by CCC certificates No. 2014010105747252/753, valid to 2028-12-04 — certificate pages published here.
§01 — Type designations
Solid, stranded, flexible — pick by how the wire is installed.
| Тип | IEC ref. | Жила | Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| BV | 60227 IEC 01 | Solid Cu, class 1 | Fixed wiring in conduit and trunking — sockets, lighting circuits |
| BVR | 60227 IEC 06 equivalent | Stranded Cu, class 2 flexible | Fixed wiring needing flexibility — panels, tight conduits, terminal connections |
| RV | 60227 IEC 02 | Flexible Cu, class 5 | Internal equipment wiring, movable connections |
| RVV | 60227 IEC 52 / 53 | Flexible multi-core | Appliance and light power cords, small equipment feeds |
| RVS | 60227 IEC 42 | Twisted flexible pair | Low-voltage signal and fire-alarm loops |
§02 — CCC certification
The certificate pages, on the page.
China Compulsory Certification for our PVC-insulated building wire range. Note: CCC covers the 60227 IEC series building wire only — it does not apply to power or medium-voltage cables.
§03 — FAQ
Common questions on building wire.
BV vs BVR — which one for which job?
BV (solid) is cheaper and holds its shape in conduit — the default for long straight runs to sockets and lights. BVR (stranded flexible) bends easily and survives repeated flexing — use it in panels, at terminations and anywhere the wire is moved or re-dressed. Same current rating per mm²; the choice is about installation, not electricity.
What sizes are stocked?
BV/BVR 1.5–400 mm² (1.5 / 2.5 / 4 / 6 / 10 / 16 / 25 / 35 / 50 mm² are the common building sizes); RV 0.5–95 mm²; RVV 2–5 cores × 0.5–6 mm². Coils of 100 m for small sizes, drums for large.
Do you produce flame-retardant and fire-resistant building wire?
Yes — ZR-BV (flame-retardant) and NH-BV (fire-resistant) variants for code-required circuits, plus WDZ low-smoke halogen-free building wire for hospitals, schools and public buildings.
Can we get mixed colours and our own brand printing?
Standard colours (red, yellow, green, blue, black, yellow-green) are stocked; custom colours and OEM sheath printing with your brand and metre marks are available for container orders.
