RUBBER CABLE · 450/750 V · YC / YCW · GB/T 5013
YC / YCW Rubber Cable — flexible power for equipment that moves.
Heavy-duty rubber-sheathed flexible cable for mobile equipment, workshops, construction sites and outdoor duty. Oil-resistant YCW variant for workshops and machinery; weather-proof compounds for outdoor use.
§01 — Construction
Built to bend ten thousand times.
| Capa | Material | Función |
|---|---|---|
| Conductor | Copper class 5, fine-stranded | Maximum flexibility for moving equipment |
| Aislamiento | EPR rubber (IE4) | Heat-resistant elastomer insulation, 90 °C class |
| Fillers / lay-up | Rubber or textile fillers | Round, flexible core |
| Cubierta | Chloroprene (PCP) or CPE rubber | Abrasion, oil (YCW) and weather resistance |

Which compound for which site
YC — heavy-duty general rubber cable for construction sites and mobile machinery. YCW — oil-resistant sheath for workshops, machine tools and anywhere oil or coolant contacts the cable. Both 450/750 V, class 5 conductors.
Welding cable (YH) and submersible pump cable (JHS) available on request.

§03 — FAQ
Common questions on rubber cable.
Rubber cable vs PVC flexible cable — why pay more?
Rubber survives what PVC cannot: constant reeling and unreeling, being dragged across concrete, oil splash, outdoor UV and sub-zero handling. If the cable moves daily, rubber pays for itself in replacement cycles. For fixed or rarely-moved runs, PVC flexible cable (RVV) is the economical choice.
Can YC/YCW be used outdoors permanently?
Yes — the chloroprene/CPE sheath is weather and UV resistant for outdoor site duty. For permanent direct burial, however, use an armoured XLPE cable instead; rubber cable is for exposed, movable service.
What is the maximum operating temperature?
Conductor 90 °C class insulation; sheath rated −25 … +60 °C ambient. For high-temperature workshops (near furnaces, welding bays), ask for the silicone or heat-resistant compound variants.
