CABLE TESTING & INSPECTION
Match Every Inspection Point to the Cable and Standard
Testing is planned from the approved model, voltage, construction and project specification. Not every test applies to every cable.
Quality Control Across the Order
Incoming, in-process and final checks should be linked to the approved construction and acceptance criteria.
Typical Checks by Purpose
The actual method and acceptance criteria come from the applicable product or material standard.

Conductor Checks
Material, wire diameter, strand construction and conductor resistance are reviewed against the ordered specification.

Construction and Dimensions
Core count, insulation thickness, sheath thickness and overall diameter may be checked as applicable.

Spark Testing
Applicable in-process spark testing helps identify insulation defects before the next production stage.

Electrical Verification
Depending on the cable, checks may include continuity, conductor resistance, insulation resistance or voltage withstand.

Finished Cable Review
Cross-section, layer sequence, material identification and finished appearance are compared with the approved design.

Length, Marking and Packing
Printed marking, cable length, labels, drum condition and shipment information are checked before release.

BUYER REVIEW
Agree the Required Evidence Before Production
Third-party inspection, witness points and additional reports can affect price and lead time, so they should be included in the enquiry.
- Applicable standard and cable datasheet
- Routine, sample or project-specific tests
- Inspection witness or hold points
- Required report format and language
- Third-party inspection requirements
Send the Standard and Acceptance Requirements
We will identify which inspections apply to the requested cable and which documents should be included in the quotation.
