EXPORT PACKING GUIDE
Export cable packing affects handling, installation planning and total landed cost. For international projects, buyers should confirm drum lengths, marking and documentation before production so the shipment can move from factory to site with fewer delays.

Select the packing method
Common options include coils, cartons, wooden drums and steel-wood drums. The choice depends on cable diameter, unit length, gross weight, lifting method, container plan and storage conditions. Heavy power cable generally requires a drum engineered for safe handling.
Confirm drum length early
Required cable length per drum should be matched to installation sections and maximum handling weight. State whether tolerance is allowed and whether sequential drum numbers are required. Customized lengths are available after order review.
Define cable and drum marking
Provide the required manufacturer name, cable type, voltage, size, standard, length, production reference and destination information. OEM printing and private-label packaging can be reviewed against the order and applicable conformity requirements.
Documents buyers commonly request
- Commercial invoice and packing list
- Bill of lading information
- Certificate of origin where required
- Factory inspection or routine test documents applicable to the order
- Conformity documentation specified for the destination market
Send the destination with the RFQ
Include destination country and port, cable type, quantity, drum length and required shipping term. Destination-market requirements are reviewed individually before confirmation.
